5 tense we frequently use
1. Simple present tense
Digunakan untuk menyatakan habitual action atau rutinitas dan fakta fakta
Rumus:
(+) S + V1(s/es)
(-) S + do/does + not + V1
(?) do/does + S + V1
S : i you they we, she he it + s / es
Do/does disebut auxilary atau kata kerja bantu
Example
(+) they go to campus by the bus
(-)  they don't go to campus by the bus
(?) do they go to campus by the bus

2. Simple past tense
Digunakan untuk menyatakan kalimat yg terjadi di masa lampau
Rumus
(+) S + V2 (d, ed, ied)
(-) S + did + not + V1
(?) did + s + V1
Example :
(+)  they went to campus by the bus
(-) they did not go to campus by the bus
(?) did they go?

3. Present/present continues tense
Digunakan untuk  menyatakan kejadian yang sedang berlangsung
Rumus
(+) S + be + Ving
(-) S + be + not + Ving
(?) be + S + Ving
I - >  am - > was
You, they, we - > are - > were
She,  he, it - > is - > was
Example
(+) i am going to campus by the bus
(-) i am not going to campus by the bus
(?) are you going to campus by the bus?

4. Simple future tense
Digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan kejadian yang belum terjadi masih direncanakan
Rumus
(+) S + will + V1
(-) S + will + not + V1
(?) will + S + V1
Example
(+) i will go to campus by the bus
(-) i will not go to campus by the bus
(?) will you go to campus by the bus?

5. Simple perfect tense
Digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang sudah terjadi dan hasilnya masih terasa / terlihat
Rumus
(+) S + has/have + V3
(-)  S + has/have + not + V3
(?) has/have + S + V3
Has : she,  he,  it
Have: i, you they, we
Example
(+) i have gone to campus by the bus
(-) i have not gone to campus by the bus
(?) have you gone to campus by the bus?

EXERCISE
